Edmund W. Young, EdD, LCSW, MSW, MSG, BCD, is a well-versed clinical social worker who diagnoses and treats patients as independent Contractor with Blue Moon Senior Counseling in Los Angeles, California. Edmund W. Young, EdD, LCSW, MSW, MSG, BCD, attended University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA, and was awarded his Doctor of Education degree (2012), Master of Social Work degree and Master of Science in Gerontology degree (1998), and Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (1995). Dr. Young received board certification in clinical social work from the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work. He is also a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. Clinical Social Work is a specialty practice area of social work which focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental illness, emotional, and other behavioral disturbances. Individual, group, and family therapy are common treatment modalities. His experience includes his roles as Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker at Compton West Specialized Foster Care Program and Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall Mental Health Unit/the los Angeles County department of mental Health.
